This article discusses the fact that more consumers are beginning to access applications on their smartphones and tablets, forcing advertisers to search for a new way to reach us there. We can no longer benefit from slapping print ads online, as consumers pay little to no attention to these images. As a result, advertisers are increasingly tailoring ads to phones by taking advantage of elements such as their ability to track location, make a call, show maps with directions and add calendar results. The percent of our ad buy will continue to grow because that is where the consumer is.
